Biography
Soumendra Padhi, a Bhubaneswar-born talent, transitioned from software engineering to filmmaking, making a remarkable directorial debut in 2016 with Budhia Singh: Born to Run, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Tillotama Shome. Known for his impactful storytelling, Padhi has also helmed the popular series Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega (2020) and the upcoming film Farrey (2023). His work has earned him prestigious nominations, including the Zee Cine Award and Screen Award for Most Promising Director, and he won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film for Budhia Singh.
